The agency representing a Liverpool defender has revealed that the player will leave the club following interest from multiple clubs.
Liverpool have been among the Premier League’s busiest clubs during the summer transfer window as preparations continue for Andoni Iraola’s first full campaign in charge.
The Reds have already strengthened several areas of the squad, while attention has now turned to further additions before the transfer deadline.

One player widely linked with a move to Anfield is Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
Reports in recent days have claimed Liverpool are preparing an opening offer for the France international as they continue their search for attacking reinforcements, although no agreement has yet been reached between the clubs.
While much of the focus has been on potential arrivals, Liverpool are also working on the development of several young signings.
One of those is Austrian defender Ifeanyi Ndukwe, whose immediate future has now become clearer following a work permit setback.
According to Sky Austria, Ndukwe’s representatives, More than Sport by AS1, have confirmed that multiple clubs have expressed concrete interest in signing the teenager on loan after he was unable to secure the UK work permit required to play competitively for Liverpool this season.
Ndukwe completed his move from Austria Wien earlier this summer after agreeing a long-term contract with Liverpool. However, changes to England’s work permit regulations mean he cannot be registered to play for the Reds during the 2026-27 campaign.
Sky Austria reports that the current plan is for the 18-year-old to join another club on loan for either six or 12 months, with no purchase option included in the agreement.
Speaking to Sky Austria, A More than Sport by AS1 representative said the change in circumstances could ultimately benefit the young centre-back’s development, confirming a loan move is expected:
“Despite this change, we see the situation as a great opportunity for Ifeanyi,” the agency said.
“Several top international clubs have already expressed concrete interest in a loan. Regardless of which path he chooses, he will have the opportunity to gain regular playing time at the highest level – a prospect that would not have been guaranteed to the same extent in his first few months at Liverpool.”
The agency also explained that Liverpool’s original development plan had always prioritised senior football rather than academy matches.
“The original plan with Liverpool was to evaluate after the first six months whether Ifeanyi was getting enough playing time in the Premier League. Only then would a decision be made about a possible loan. It was always clearly defined that his development should take place at the professional level and not through appearances for the U21 team.”
According to Sky Austria, the possibility of a work permit issue had already been discussed when Ifeanyi Ndukwe signed his contract. All parties reportedly knew there was a chance he would not accumulate the points required under the UK’s governing body endorsement system, and contingency plans were made from the outset.
