Reggie Watson, son of former Watford midfielder Ben, is aiming for a first-team breakthrough at Chelsea after playing 90 minutes in Xabi Alonso's first game as Blues boss.
Chelsea beat Western Sydney Wanderers 6-4 on Tuesday, with former Hornet Joao Pedro bagging a match-winning hat-trick off the bench.
But it was Watson, aged just five when Ben signed for the Hornets in January 2015, who shared the headlines.
The 16-year-old was the only player to start and finish the match for Alonso's side in the Australian capital.
Watson is a midfielder, like his dad, and is benefitting from so many senior options currently being on a holiday after the World Cup.
While he is unlikely to make a meaningful impact in the first team under Alonso this term, the experience is bound to be valuable for a player who has been surrounded by football all of his life.

He told the Chelsea website: "I think a lot of people know this, but I grew up around football.
"My dad, Ben, was a professional – he scored that famous FA Cup final goal for Wigan against Manchester City – and he has been a huge influence on me.
"I didn’t know I was going to play 90 minutes against Western Sydney Wanderers. I’m certainly feeling it today – I’m knackered! – but it was an incredible experience.
"Of course, the manager has been brilliant.
"I've watched Xabi Alonso clips on YouTube growing up; now I'm getting passes from him in training. He is still an unbelievable player and he understands my position so well.
"I have already learned a lot from him and it will make me a better player."

Watson senior famously scored the winner for Wigan in the 2013 FA Cup final but is most memorable to Watford fans for his at Vicarage Road between 2015-17.
Having made his debut with the Hornets 2-0 down at home to bottom-place Blackpool in January 2015, Watford won the game 7-2 and went on to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.
He was then a key player as they comfortably avoided relegation under Quique Sanchez Flores in 2015/16.
Now, his son is aiming to follow in his footsteps - possibly even more - at senior level.
