Marc Cucurella has bid an emotional farewell to Chelsea. This comes more than a month after he completed his move to Real Madrid. As per the latest news, he shared a heartfelt video thanking fans, teammates and staff for four unforgettable seasons at Chelsea.

Marc Cucurella Sends Farewell Message to Blues

This week, Marc Cucurella posted an Instagram message bidding farewell to the club where he grew as a player. The left-back posted a video message to the Blues. As reported by ESPN, he admitted he had arrived at Stamford Bridge “as a young lad with a dream of winning many trophies.” He also opened up about the tough early days in west London.

He said his first season was hard, but things slowly turned around after that. Even so, he made it clear that the city remained close to his heart throughout. “London will always be my home, and you will always be part of my history,”he said. “Once a Blue, always a Blue.”

That line shows just how attached he still feels. As reported by Fox Sports, he also thanked the coaching staff and his old teammates for everything they built together. “I now leave the club being a man,” he added.“I’ve reached a lot of my dreams thanks to you.” It was a simple message, yet it carried real weight.

Four Trophy-Laden Seasons at Stamford Bridge

During his four years in west London, Marc Cucurella made 115 Premier League appearances after joining from Brighton. He grew from a player under early scrutiny into one of the most dependable full-backs in the division. His steady rise took time to build, but it kept moving forward.

That growth eventually brought silverware too. As reported by GOAL, the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup were the trophies he won during his time at the club. Results, he said, finally turned his way, both for him and the team.

Beyond the trophies, his on-pitch numbers stood out as well. Xabi Alonso only took charge in July, as reported by Fox Sports. Three different managers took charge at Chelsea last season, which ended with a tenth-place finish. He also wished the club well heading into next season. Football fans across England still see him as a rare bright spot from a tough year.

Marc Cucurella Set for New Chapter in Madrid

Marc Cucurella’s transfer was confirmed in June, during the World Cup. He has now signed with Madrid until 2032, a deal that stretches well into the future. As reported by ESPN, Spain fielded him in every one of their eight tournament matches, and he helped them lift the trophy before his switch to Madrid.

His new boss is Jose Mourinho, who is back at Real Madrid this year following a thirteen-year gap. The defender has played in top leagues before, so this won’t be new. Even so, adapting to a new system always takes some time.

Meanwhile, things move on at Stamford Bridge. The Blues will look to bounce back this season, and a fresh rebuild is already underway under Alonso as pre-season progresses. Still, judging by the tone of his message, the bond between him and the fans looks unlikely to fade soon, even in a new shirt.
