After being described by people at Chelsea as a generational talent, Kendry Paez’s latest loan move away is set to end after being added to River Plate’s bomb squad.
Many ranked Paez alongside Estevao Willian as the most promising talents coming through to the Chelsea squad, with both making an impact on the international stage already.
However, while Estevao has already gone on to become a star in the first team squad, Paez is yet to make his professional debut for the club, and has struggled on loan at Strasbourg.

Kendry Paez to return to Chelsea after being added to River Plate’s bomb squad
The desire to get his career back on track saw him move to River Plate, although journalist Juan Patricio Balbi has stated that Paez has been training away from the first team in Argentina, and his loan there is set to be cut short.
He said: “Kendry Páez has been training at Cantilo since Monday with the group of sidelined players while Chelsea defines his new loan. The loan with River will be cut short, and Trabzonspor from Turkey and Mechelen from Belgium emerge as the first possibilities.”

No one is more familiar with a bomb squad than Chelsea, who were forced into this position when Enzo Maresca took over.
Raheem Sterling was the headline name in this group, and his career is yet to recover since being frozen out at Stamford Bridge.
It looks as if another move away is on the cards, however Chelsea must be feeling as if the Ecuador international is running out of time to prove himself.

Paez running out of time at Chelsea
The youngster joined up with the Blues for the Club World Cup journey in the United States, however he was not part of the squad who were competing.
There is a chance he gets an opportunity to work with Xabi Alonso temporarily on Chelsea’s current pre-season tour, with the Spaniard happy to give youngsters plenty of opportunities.
However, as the Blues continue their project of signing top young players such as Geovany Quenda and Dastan Satpayev, Paez is running out of time to make it in West London before the next young prospect takes his place.
