Ferran Torres has 50/50 chance of leaving or staying at Barcelona

Nothing is certain with FIFA World Cup hero Ferran Torres next season. He may stay or leave at FC Barcelona, and a new [report](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/equilbran-opciones-ferran-torres-50-132963744) says both options are equally likely. Paris Saint-Germain are interested in him, but Barça won’t let him go easily.

The Catalan club is reportedly not pushing him out. If he wants to stay, the club will be happy to keep him. However, if he decides he wants to leave, the report says Barcelona would be willing to accept an offer around 45 million euro.

The forward is in the last year of his deal and could force a free transfer if he wanted out. He has yet to accept Barcelona’s renewal offer, reportedly because he feels he deserves more. But Torres is said to be comfortable in his current surroundings.

Torres may be waiting to see who Barcelona sign in the striker position with Robert Lewandowski leaving. Julián Alvarez arriving would almost certainly relegate Torres to being purely a substitute, though Atlético de Madrid have shown no signs of accepting to part with him despite Barça’s pursuit.

PSG, for their part, are looking into alternatives if Torres does not come. Charles De Ketelaere from Atalanta, who made a name for himself at the World Cup for Belgium, has been mentioned as a possibility.
