Liverpool's pre-season is going swimmingly so far for Andoni Iraola. And his team could soon be boosted by the arrival of a blockbuster signing.
So far in his first transfer window as Reds boss, new manager Iraola has only welcomed two new faces to Anfield. Victor Munoz's £34.5million release clause was triggered in June. He was later joined by Jeremy Jacquet, who arrived after a £60m transfer was agreed with Rennes in the January window.
The departures of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate mean there are areas of the squad that can be improved and another exit could be on the cards. The ECHO brings you the latest Reds transfer speculation.
Curtis Jones intentions clear
Curtis Jones has long been the subject of transfer speculation and Inter Milan have emerged as the frontrunners. Talks between the two clubs are continuing, although a gap in valuations remains.
However, Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that once Inter finalise the free-agent signing of John Stones, they will make an all-out push for Jones.

Head coach Cristian Chivu is reportedly eager to conclude a deal for the midfielder, and following a meeting two evenings ago, Inter's hierarchy agreed that their strategy will be measured but purposeful.
The Italian club value the player at £21m, while Liverpool are holding out for £34m, though the Serie A side appear content to bide their time. Jones came off the bench during the 1-0 win over Wrexham and was spotted in a lively exchange with several of his team-mates at the final whistle.
Bradley Barcola boost
Elsewhere, it is understood that Liverpool have entered into negotiations with PSG over Barcola, who carries a staggering £140m price tag. Preliminary discussions with the player's representatives have already taken place, with early indications proving positive.

However, the French club are widely expected to require a replacement before sanctioning the departure of a player of Barcola's calibre. Sky Sports Germany reports that a significant breakthrough has occurred in talks surrounding Maghnes Akliouche.
PSG have been pursuing the Monaco star for a considerable period, and a breakthrough has now been confirmed. All parties involved are reportedly confident that an agreement will be reached.
Akliouche has also settled on personal terms with Luis Enrique's outfit, meaning his anticipated arrival would hand the Reds a significant advantage in their pursuit of Barcola.
