AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori has been linked with multiple English clubs in recent weeks and Liverpool have stepped forward for the defender. The Chelsea youth product has already snubbed Coventry City.
Sport Witness have covered how the centre-back is likely to be out of Ruben Amorim’s project at the Rossoneri. He is, in fact, transfer-listed, having struggled for consistency in the 2025/26 campaign under Max Allegri.
This had alerted Coventry City, who made initial contact for Tomori. The player had doubts about the move and was prepared to wait for more options.
His stance may have paid off, as Liverpool are now interested.

The Reds are believed to be keen on improving their backline and Tomori is a candidate for Andoni Iraola’s side.
They have made initial contact with Milan over a deal, attempting to explore the finances of a move. Now, a formal offer is being evaluated.
Tomori’s current Milan deal runs out in 2027, which will make any deal straightforward. The report points out Milan do not want to make it easy and are prepared to stand firm. This is different to the information provided by sources closer to Milan and they’ve suggested the player is a major candidate to leave.
Our take: Tomori would be a squad player
Under Amorim at Milan, Tomori is not expected to be a regular. That is the role he could play at Liverpool, especially as Giovanni Leoni is back fit and Jermey Jacquet can also play centrally.
Since the 28-year-old isn’t keen on joining Coventry City, a move to Anfield should be more suitable for him. He will play in the Champions League, which is something Milan missed out on.
He could command a good wage and it would be the last big contract of his career. There is also a chance he competes for silverware and a deal for Liverpool shouldn’t be too expensive.
Tomori came through the Chelsea academy, subsequently going on a series of loans away from Stamford Bridge before signing for AC Milan permanently in 2021.
