Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have both identified CD Guadalajara’s Hugo Camberos as a new transfer target.
Spurs have been active this summer and have signed six players for their first team. Their north London rivals have added Christos Tzolis and Illan Meslier to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Arsenal and Tottenham are in the picture to sign 1. FSV Mainz 05’s Kaishū Sano. Their director, Christian Heidel, has already confirmed his side will consider tempting offers for the midfielder.
Youngster on Arsenal and Tottenham’s radar
As well as Kaishū Sano, the Premier League duo could also battle for Hugo Camberos.
That’s according to TUDN in Mexico, and their journalist, Zaritzi Sosa, covers the latest on Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 19-year-old graduated from CD Guadalajara’s academy and left them from Tapatío in 2024, only to return in January 2025. He played 35 matches for their first team, scoring three goals and contributing an assist.
He is with Mexico U20 at the ongoing Concacaf U20 Championship hosted by his country.
Mexico are leading the group table with nine points after three matches. They registered a 4-0 comfortable win over Guatemala U20s.
Arsenal and Tottenham send officials
Hugo Camberos has three goals and an assist, scoring a goal in every match. His displays have caught the attention of both the Gunners and Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
Zaritzi Sosa claims both Mikel Arteta’s side and Spurs sent scouts to watch him live against Guatemala U20s. He believes the attacker’s displays are ‘expected to further pique the interest of Arsenal and Tottenham’.
Camberos has a contract until December 2028 and his value, as per Transfermarkt, is €3m.

He says Hugo’s plan is to establish as a starter and win the title with CD Guadalajara and then move to Europe.
