Inter Milan have renewed their pursuit of Curtis Jones, though their new intended offer still falls short of Liverpool’s valuation for the midfielder.
The Italian club have seen two formal offers rejected by Liverpool, with talkSPORT’s Ben Jacobs reporting another informal bid of €32 million (£27.3m) was rebuffed earlier this month.
According to the Athletic‘s James Horncastle, Inter have “renewed their pursuit” and indicated to Liverpool via intermediaries that they are “willing” to pay €35 million (£29.9m) for the midfielder.
It still falls short of the club’s valuation for Jones, which is upwards of €40 million (£34.2m).

The 25-year-old is in the final 12 months of his contract, but the club are happy to retain his services for 2026/27.
Andoni Iraola has already expressed his desire to keep the Scouser in his squad, emphasising the importance of his local roots.
“I rate Curtis very highly,” Iraola said. “For me he is a great, great player, and I hope he can continue with us and continue performing the way he has been performing.
June 16: €20 million (£17.3m) rejected

July 14: €32 million (£27.3m) rejected
“It’s very important that he’s Scouse, that he’s from here.”
The 25-year-old’s preferences will be taken into account, but Liverpool will not sanction a sale for lower than his value, even if it means they lose him on a free transfer next summer.
Jones is currently with Iraola and Co. on the club’s pre-season tour in the US, playing a combined 90 minutes in wins against Sunderland and Wrexham.
After the latter, however, he was filmed in a heated exchange with Dominik Szoboszlai and Kostas Tsimikas, seemingly over the captain’s armband.
Liverpool’s No. 8 avoided the incident when he spoke to reporters on Thursday, but any further media duties could bring the subject to the fore after the scenes went viral on social media.

Jones will still be considering his options, but any potential move to Inter depends on the Italian side meeting Liverpool’s full valuation.
Previous proposals of £17.3 million, £21.7 million and £27.3 million have been swatted away, but Inter’s reported willingness to bid £29.9 million now leaves a gap of £4.3 million to Liverpool’s asking price.
