The Friedkin Group inject fresh £38m into Everton via new share issue
Everton’s owners have pumped a further £38.8m into the club, according to a filing lodged with Companies House.
The document, an SH01 Return of Allotment of Shares, shows 221,954 new ordinary shares were allotted at £175 each between 1 and 30 July, filed on 30 July 2026.
It is understood to relate to a Premier League commission’s order for Everton to pay Burnley in the region of £40m in compensation, after the club was found to have breached financial rules during the 2021-22 season.

It is the latest in a long line of cash injections from The Friedkin Group since taking over the club in December 2024. Previous filings have included a £289m injection at the time of the takeover, followed by tranches of £45m, £10m, £46m and £107m over the following year, taking the total equity pumped into the club close to £500m.
Everton confirmed last month they would appeal the Burnley ruling, while accepting responsibility to cover any resulting payment. Manager David Moyes has said he has been told the case will not affect the club’s spending power.
