Enzo Maresca said that Manchester City are "for sure" going to do more in the transfer window as they look to make multiple signings. Elliot Anderson has already been brought in for a club record £116m but further first team signings are yet to occur.
City are looking to bring in another midfielder, with negotiations continuing for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi as the Blues try to bring down an £85m price tag. They are also looking at strengthening at right-back and forward, while Geronimo Rulli could become the new back-up to Gianluigi Donnarumma as James Trafford completes his move to Leeds United.
Maresca has said the squad needs new bodies and the manager has been involved in plans with sporting director Hugo Viana, who is expected to fly out to join the team on tour in Asia. The Italian is expecting more reinforcements for a squad that is currently depleted by World Cup absences.
"We are talking with Hugo and the club about some players, for sure we are going to do something, we are looking at different positions. In this moment we have many young players here, tomorrow three senior players are going to arrive and slowly, slowly the rest, and I am happy to work with the ones who are here."
Ruben Dias, Omar Marmoush and Matheus Nunes are all flying out to join the team in Hong Kong on Saturday. They will arrive too late to have any part to play in the friendly against Inter, but could feature in the two games in Korea next week.
