Mykhailo Mudryk is available for selection to Xabi Alonso, however will already face far greater competition for a place in the side than back in 2024.
Mudryk’s suspension for anti-doping has been lifted and he is free to join up with the Chelsea squad again for their pre-season tour.
The 26-year-old will fly out on Sunday, and instantly look to make an impression on Alonso as he begins to establish which players he will count on this season.
Mykhailo Mudryk already under pressure for a place at Chelsea
When Mudryk last played, he was competing with the likes of Jadon Sancho for a place in the starting side, with neither player really making the place their own in the side.
Now though, he will be coming up against Morgan Rogers for the starting spot on the left, after his near-Premier League record transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will not have spent that money on a player who will not walk straight into the starting side, already making life more difficult for Mudryk as he plots his return.
His chances of featuring have also not been helped by the strong performances already of Jamie Gittens during this pre-season campaign.
The winger is looking for his own big season after struggling to justify his price tag last season, and has scored in two behind-closed-doors friendlies as well as against Western Sydney Wanderers.
The Englishman is clearly up for the battle with Rogers next season, and Mudryk is already in danger of falling behind in the pecking order.
A loan move away could well be the best port of call for the Ukraine star. Strasbourg are a club Chelsea find it very easy to do business with.
Mudryk needs match experience again, after joining Chelsea whilst still being a developing player. But nevertheless, it is encouraging news that he is free to play again, and can begin to get his career back on track.
