Mykhailo Mudryk is expected to join up with the Chelsea squad on their pre-season tour after being cleared of doping allegations and having his suspension lifted.

The winger last played for Chelsea in November 2024 in the Conference League, and did not play a minute during the 2025/26 season, or Club World Cup.

Mudryk has been pictured frequently training alone as he looked to continue his fitness, and his hard work will now be allowed to be used on the pitch for Chelsea again.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Mudryk is set to travel and join up with Xabi Alonso’s squad on Sunday, following the game against Tottenham at the weekend.

This means he will be available for selection as early as August 5 for their friendly against Juventus in Hong Kong.

There is competition for places on the left of Chelsea’s attack, with the Blues adding Morgan Rogers to their squad this summer already.

Jamie Gittens has also enjoyed a very strong pre-season so far, scoring in two behind-closed-doors games and against Western Sydney Wanderers earlier this week.

The 26-year-old will be keen to make things right after being signed by the club for big money, although failing to make a real meaningful impact on the squad.

It is likely that pre-season will be used to get him back up to speed, with an eye towards the first Premier League game of the campaign against Fulham.
