West Ham Reignite Pursuit Of Arsenal Ace After Being Told That He Is“Available”

West Ham are considering whether to make a move for Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, according to reports.

Writing on The West Ham Way Patreon (quotes via their website), insider ExWHUEmployee said the club believe they have a chance of recruiting the 26-year-old on loan:

“West Ham are exploring a few potential loan options for the left wing position. As we mentioned before, the club could turn to a few Premier League players who have now been told they are available. Two of them we have already covered, but there is a new name to add.”

“The first one is Reiss Nelson of Arsenal. We have been a long-time admirer of the player, and he is said to be keen to remain in London and fancies the prospect of playing regularly for us. He would offer good natural width on the left.”

West Ham have tried to sign him on several occasions

The Hammers were first linked with Nelson all the way back in February 2023 when it looked like he could leave the Emirates on a free transfer.

There were subsequent reports about the club’s interest in the summer of 2024, but the former England Under-21 international ultimately joined Fulham on loan.

Nelson was also sent out on a temporary basis last campaign, but his spell at Brentford was blighted by injury problems.

Arsenal will want to sell Nelson

Despite Ex’s claim that the forward is “available”, it is unlikely the Gunners would sanction his departure on loan due to the fact that he has less than a year left on his contract.

Their preference would undoubtedly be to offload Nelson on a permanent basis, so West Ham may have to stump up some cash if they want to bring him in before the transfer window shuts.
