Several Chelsea stars have shown their support for Mykhailo Mudryk after it was confirmed that the forward can return to competitive action for the Blues.

Mudryk was handed a four-year ban by the Football Association (FA) for an anti-doping violation where he tested positive for meldonium. The Ukrainian international went on to appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The FA confirmed on Friday that the ban imposed on Mudryk has now been lifted, meaning the 25-year-old is now able to feature for Chelsea once again.

After the news was confirmed by both the FA and Chelsea, Mudryk himself has taken to social media to issue an emotional message to the club’s supporters.

“After a long battle, the four-year ban that was imposed on me has been rescinded and I am free to resume my career with immediate effect,” Mudryk wrote in a post on Instagram.

“I am grateful that this process has reached a conclusion, that I have been cleared to return to football and that I can now look ahead to my future.

Mykhailo Mudryk has not played for Chelsea in November 2024 following "an adverse finding in a routine urine test."

“This has been the most difficult period of my career. As I have always maintained from the outset of this case, I have never knowingly or intentionally taken any banned substance.

“My commitment to competing fairly and representing my club and country with professionalism and integrity has always been important to me.

“I would like to thank my family and friends for their support and belief throughout this period.

“I also want to express my deep gratitude to everyone at Chelsea FC, my teammates and the Chelsea supporters who have been with me throughout.

“I would also like to thank my legal team and others who assisted for their tireless work on my case.

“My focus now is on returning to football, working hard every day, and making a positive contribution on the pitch.

“Thank you to everyone who continued to believe in me. I look forward to the next chapter of my career.”

Mudryk’s post generated more than 180,000 likes within the first hour of it being posted, including several from Chelsea players, past and present.

Romeo Lavia, Enzo Fernandez, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Reece James, Axel Disasi and Marc Guiu have liked the post from Mudryk.

Guiu also left a comment on the winger’s post, which read: “Yes Mishaa.”

Former Chelsea stars Lesley Ugochukwu, Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella, Renato Veiga, Christopher Nkunku and Marcus Bettinelli have also liked the post from Mudryk.
