Manchester City trained in Hong Kong at the Kai Tak Stadium ahead of their first friendly of the summer with Inter on Saturday. The Serie A side will not have John Stones or Manu Akanji in their ranks for the game owing to their efforts at the World Cup but will still be a strong test with a number of stars from the Italy team.
Enzo Maresca will be looking to start his time at the club with a strong performance, albeit many of his best players are missing. Ruben Dias, Matheus Nunes and Omar Marmoush will join up with the squad in Hong Kong but seven more will miss the trip completely.
Maresca is looking to see signs of what the team have been working on in training for the past fortnight when they take to the pitch against Inter, and there were a few signs of that as they worked at the Kai Tak on Friday. The session was open to media as well as nearly 23,000 fans who had bought tickets.
