As first reported by South Ward Central, Liverpool center back Rhys Williams has been spotted training with RBNY, all 6'5" of him. The 25-year-old is out of contract this summer. Williams joined the Liverpool academy at the age of nine in 2011, but has failed to entrench himself with the club. His lone first-team action came in 2020-21, with nine games, seven of them starts. Since then, he's played on loan with Swansea City and Blackpool in The Championship, and saw his last first-team playing time in 2024-25 with Morecambe in League Two, England's fourth division. He has a number of youth caps for England. "Rhys has made a really positive impression. We'll continue to evaluate over the next period how to make our team better in any way. Certainly, Rhys' experience in the game is potentially of big value, so we'll spend time with him, we'll discuss with him and his agent what makes the most sense." Michael Bradley was quoted. If this is an example of Jurgen Klopp's magic, let's properly define "magic"...
