Liverpool are exploring a move for AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori, according to reports in the Italian media.
Juventus have also shown interest in the former Chelsea player, but TuttoJuve.com claim that Andoni Iraola‘s side have now entered the race.
It is believed the Reds have made initial contact with Milan to evaluate the cost, but at this stage, no formal bid has been tabled for Tomori.
Sporting director Richard Hughes is said to be looking to add an experienced and reliable centre-back to the first-team squad before the transfer window closes.
Tomori is in the same situation that Guehi was last summer
The AC Milan star has less than a year left on his contract, and at the moment, it doesn’t look like he will be extending his stay at the San Siro.
Fellow England international Marc Guehi was in the same boat, but Liverpool failed to get that deal over the line 12 months ago.
They will be keen to ensure that the same thing doesn’t happen again with Tomori if they choose to make a move for him.

Liverpool are one of several suitors
In addition to Juventus, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Leeds, Coventry City, West Ham and Al Hilal have also been credited with an interest in Tomori. So far, though, no team has made a serious attempt to secure his signature.
Some fans may have doubts about his ability, considering he never established himself as a regular starter at Chelsea, but it should not be forgotten that he is a league winner, having won the Serie A title with Milan in 2022.
