Reports linking Jack Grealish with a return to Everton are yet to die down, with a month left in the summer transfer window

Jack Grealish's football career is currently in limbo. His return to Manchester City this summer after a season-long loan at Everton has done nothing to shed light on where the 30-year-old will be playing his football come the beginning of the new Premier League season later this month.
Grealish was enjoying a career renaissance with the Toffees before his campaign was brutally cut short by a serious foot injury in January. The relationship he was able to cultivate with his team-mates and the fans is one Everton are keen to keep strong.
The ECHO understands that both the club and the player are keen to reunite this upcoming season, but any move would need Man City to budge from last summer's £50million quotation.
David Moyes' side will not be breaking their transfer record for the attacker and they certainly would have been buoyed by his absence from City's pre-season tour of the Far East.
However, reports that Grealish was purposefully left out by the newly-appointed City boss Enzo Maresca were personally denied by the England ace himself. Upon the reveal of the touring City squad, an outlet claimed Grealish and Kalvin Phillips were "left out" of the tour, which the former didn't take kindly to.

In a swift response to the post, Grealish set the record straight by writing: "Just to let you know I’m still recovering from an injury so I’m not training yet. Haven’t been ‘left out’ so stop talking poo poo thanks."
Amid the uncertainty of his future, the Englishman has put himself in good stead to return strongly, wherever that may be. He's travelled to Spain to train at RCD Mallorca's training ground.
Grealish took to Instagram to post a video of himself on the pitch, writing the caption: "Working." A key decider in his potential return to Hill Dickinson could be the close bond he's formed with Moyes.

After just a few months of playing under the Toffees boss, Grealish spoke of the "love" he has for the Scotsman. Speaking last December, he said: "I love David Moyes to pieces.
"I've only known him a few months, and I can't speak highly enough of him as a person and how he makes me feel and how he makes me want to go there and play for him."
Unfortunately for all parties, it could well be that the saga continues to drag on throughout August. For now it appears to be a game of wait and see.
