It could be a huge week for Arsenal next week, with a medical for Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes potentially happening.
The Mail report that a deal worth £77million plus add-ons after finally been agreed, and the Gunners have pencilled in a medical for the Brazilian midfielder next week.
However, Newcastle sources have denied that formal talks have taken place between the clubs, despite reports that intermediaries are actively working to broker an agreement.
Guimaraes is said to have already agreed personal terms with Arsenal on a five-year deal.

Arsenal agree personal terms with Vinicius Jr
Arsenal have reached an agreement on personal terms with Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr.
That’s according to X account HandofArsenal, who report that the Brazilian is edging towards a move to north London as talks over a contract extension in Madrid continue to stall.
It has been suggested elsewhere that Vinicius would command a club-record salary of £400,000 a week, and a transfer fee of around £130m.
