Chelsea players are pleased for Mykhailo Mudryk as he plots his return to first team football for the first time since 2024.
Mudryk has seen his suspension overturned and is free to return to football, with the current plan being to link up again with the first team squad on their pre-season tour.
The Ukraine international faces serious competition for a place in the Chelsea side, however has been working hard alone during the time he was unable to train alongside his teammates.
Chelsea players delighted as Mykhailo Mudryk returns to action
Mudryk posted an emotional return message on his Instagram page on Friday, with a number of Chelsea players sharing this post to their own stories.
This included captain Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia, who were all clearly delighted to see their teammate back in action.
They were joined by Tosin Adarabioyo, Levi Colwill, Nicolas Jackson, Robert Sanchez and Malo Gusto in posting welcome back messages to the Ukrainian.

Fofana and Lavia’s posts were added to by a heart emoji, with the news breaking during the middle of the night for the players who are currently on the pre-season tour in Australia.
The Blues are facing Tottenham today, which comes too soon for the Ukraine international, however in theory he could be available for their next friendly against Juventus in Hong Kong on Wednesday.
Morgan Rogers and in-form Jamie Gittens were set to compete for the left-wing spot at Stamford Bridge next season, with a loan move looking the best port of call to get Mudryk back up to speed.
The Blues are yet to select the one player they will send on loan to Strasbourg for the campaign, with the side also being owned by BlueCo.
The Ligue 1 side will not be playing in Europe next season, and expectations there will not be as high as they are at Stamford Bridge to hit the ground running.
Nevertheless, Mudryk is expected to be welcomed back into the Chelsea setup with open arms as he is given another chance to justify his extortionate price tag following his 2023 signing.
