How to watch Hamburg vs Everton
Everton face their toughest pre-season test yet, with a trip to Germany to face Hamburger SV.
David Moyes’ side have won once in three friendlies so far — a 4-0 victory over Dundee — following that with a goalless draw against Bolton and a 1-0 defeat to Stoke. Hamburg arrive on the back of a 3-2 loss to Rapid Wien and a 3-1 win over Heidenheim.
James Garner remains out after groin surgery, with only outside hopes that he’ll be fit for the start of the season.
Elsewhere, the Toffees have been linked with numerous players, but with three weeks left until the start of the Premier League season, Moyes will start to look at those already in-house as he looks to get his side ready for their opener against Crystal Palace.
Jarrad Branthwaite sat out the Stoke game as part of a planned rest but is expected to return against Hamburg, while summer signing Hayden Hackney made his Toffees debut in the previous fixture.
