‘Green light’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms double Bradley Barcola boost for Liverpool

‘Green light’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms double Bradley Barcola boost for Liverpool

We can’t start our Saturday morning without providing a mandatory update on Liverpool’s pursuit of Bradley Barcola.

Yesterday, we reported on Read Liverpool that the Reds submitted a £100m bid for Barcola, although there hasn’t been any update on whether PSG have responded to it.

That said, the Parisian giants are already working towards adding multiple attackers to their squad, which is a big sign that the French international is on his way out of the club.

Barcola headed towards PSG exit door

Now, over the past 24 hours, Liverpool have seemingly made an offer for the player, which in itself is a good sign.

The updates below aren’t related to the Reds directly making a breakthrough in negotiations for the Frenchman.

Instead, it’s got to do with PSG stepping up their pursuit of two attackers: Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts.

Luis Enrique’s side have reached an agreement to sign the former from Monaco, who will join the squad as Kang-in Lee’s replacement and as another versatile option in attack.

“Maghnes Akliouche to Paris Saint-Germain, here we go!” wrote Romano on X.

“Breakthrough between clubs revealed here two days ago at €50m and now also green light on final details from player side.

“Medical will be next week. Akliouche will sign until June 2031.”

As for Godts, he could well be Barcola’s replacement, which is another clear sign that the Parisians aren’t opposed to his sale.

Things are headed in the right direction for Liverpool and with Barcola also willing to make the move, this is a transfer that should happen unless there is an eleventh-hour hijack.
