Chelsea and Tottenham have named several of their biggest names to start their pre-season clash in Sydney on Saturday night, which will be music to the ears of the 80,000+ crowd expected to pack into Accor Stadium to watch them in action.

After fielding youthful starting XIs in their respective matches against Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC, the Premier League sides are not mucking about in their final hit-out down under.

Xabi Alonso has named the likes of Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro, Jorrel Hato, Wesley Fofana, Estevao and Romeo Lavia in a strong side.

They will come up against a Spurs outfit headlined by new signings Andy Robertson, Jan Paul van Hecke and Sandro Tonali, as well as Conor Gallagher, Mathys Tel, Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Dominic Solanke, Manor Solomon and Ben Davies.

Both sides also have some quality to call on from the bench too, with Tosin Adarabioyo, Liam Delap, Malang Sarr, Kevin Danso and Richarlison all waiting in the wings.

This match at Accor Stadium marks the final men’s clash in the Sydney Super Cup with a sell-out crowd expected in Homebush.

Chelsea will be looking to pick up where they left off in their clash against the Wanderers, where Joao Pedro came off the bench to score a quickfire hat-trick and lead his side to a 6-4 victory in Alonso’s first match in charge.

Meanwhile, Spurs will be hoping for an improved performance with several more of their stars named to take part from the start following their 1-1 draw with Sydney FC, which they won on penalties.
