‘Signals’ – Fabrizio Romano drops big hint that €40m Liverpool man wants to leave

**Liverpool have a lot of work to do in the summer transfer window, in terms of outgoings and incoming transfers.**

All the focus is currently on Bradley Barcola, with various sources confirming that the Reds are in talks to sign the French international.

In terms of departures, [Curtis Jones has been linked with an Anfield exit](https://readliverpoolfc.com/news/liverpool-transfer-news-curtis-jones-inter-milan/) and recently made headlines after his post-match spat involving Dom Szoboszlai and Kostas Tsimikas.

And now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the England international’s situation.

[Jones has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan](https://readliverpoolfc.com/news/liverpool-transfer-news-curtis-jones-inter-milan/). However, the Serie A champions have thus far been unable to match Liverpool’s €40m price tag.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano claims Jones is sending ‘signals’ to Inter Milan, which reads like a come-and-get-me plea.

“Inter have renewed contact with Liverpool in recent days to see whether there’s any way of trying to revive the deal, which has been at a complete standstill for the past three or four weeks.

“Liverpool continue to ask for €40m. Inter have certainly taken note of the fact that the player is doing everything he can to send signals.

“They believe that Curtis Jones wants to wear the Nerazzurri shirt. The deal isn’t about to be completed.”

Jones has less than a year left on his current deal and wants to be a first-team regular, so this is a tricky one for Andoni Iraola to deal with.

If Liverpool sell the young Scouser, they will be forced to turn to the market for reinforcements, which is a situation they will look to avoid as they already need fresh faces across multiple other areas of the pitch.
