Xabi Alonso's Chelsea were beaten in stoppage time with Richarlison securing a narrow 2-1 victory for 10-man Tottenham at the Accor Stadium in Sydney.
After friendly wins back at Cobham, not in front of the cameras, and that thrilling 6-4 victory over Western Sydney Wanderers earlier in the week, Alonso's Blues side were beaten for the first time this summer.
Sandro Tonali opened the scoring for Tottenham with the Italian midfielder's edge-of-the-area shot taking a huge deflection off Levi Colwill and leaving Teddy Sharman-Lowe with no chance whatsoever. However, Estevao Willian levelled the match moments later after being found by a deflected Jamie Gittens delivery.
Early in the second-half, Kevin Danso, who came on for Spurs at the break, was shown a red card after he made a mistake by letting the ball run between his legs before bringing down Joao Pedro. Richarlison scored in stoppage time to secure victory for Spurs in the pre-season friendly.
Bobby Vincent was live in Sydney to witness Chelsea's first defeat of the summer and he has rated every player out on the pitch for the west Londoners.
Teddy Sharman-Lowe
Another opportunity for the goalkeeper with Robert Sanchez injured. Sharman-Lowe couldn't do anything about Tonali's goal but he could about Mathys Tel's close-range effort later in the first-half, making a fine stop to deny the winger. 6
Marco Palestra
Really impressed. Physically, Palestra is a monster. Early days, but he appears to have 'it' - whatever 'it' is. He could be a really useful player for Alonso in the upcoming season. 7
Wesley Fofana
Fofana was front-footed and aggressive against the Tottenham attacking line. Sometimes he got caught out but overall, it was an encouraging display from the French defender. 6
Levi Colwill
Took a deflection off Colwill for Tonali's goal but I'm unsure you can place any blame at all on the defender. Maybe someone should have got out to Tonali quicker before he was allowed to pull the trigger. 6
Jorrel Hato
The Dutchman started after missing Tuesday's win over Western Sydney Wanderers. Hato can be forgiven for a few rusty moments. Taken off after just over an hour - to be expected given it was his first pre-season game. 6
Dario Essugo
Essugo was given the nod once again after a great performance in the week. Unable to make anywhere near the same level of impact. In fact, Essugo was one of the worst in Chelsea's new black and yellow away kit. 5
Romeo Lavia
A boost to have the Belgian back. Kept the ball ticking along nicely. Did well to win it high up and set up Joao Pedro on 34 minutes. Played 45 minutes - let's hope he can continue to get on the pitch during the pre-season tour. 6
Estevao Willian
Loved his goal. He anticipated the ball in and by the time he got there, he was unmarked. A real poacher's goal. So close to doubling his tally at the beginning of the second-half, only for the fingers of Antonin Kinsky to deny him. Estevao under Alonso is an exciting prospect. 8
Cole Palmer
Palmer was quiet. On his day, he is Chelsea's go-to man in attack but today was not the day. More to come for Palmer under Alonso. 5
Jamie Gittens
Looks a completely different player. It's only pre-season, yes, but Gittens has added end product to his game - something he was severely lacking in his debut campaign (when he was fit). 8
Joao Pedro
Joao Pedro did well to anticipate a Danso mistake and then force the red card challenge. Moments later, he produced the touch of the game to get away from the Spurs defence and set up Estevao, whose shot was remarkably saved by Kinsky. 7
Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli (46')
Sydney-born midfielder got 45 minutes in the tank. Really impressive talent. Looked at ease out there considering he is just 16 years old. Almost had an assist for Estevao. 7
Aaron Anselmino (62')
Given how little we've seen of Anselmino in a Chelsea shirt, it was nice to see him. Slotted in at left-back in a straight swap for Hato. Did a fine job. 6
Dastan Satpayev (69')
Not too much time to make an impact but some more encouraging signs from Chelsea's new teenage superstar. 6
Omari Kellyman (79')
One of seven late subs. N/A
Reggie Walsh (79')
Some nice touches. N/A
Reggie Watson (79')
An impressive cameo. N/A
Liam Delap (79')
Missed a good headed chance. N/A
Mamadou Sarr (79')
Good to see him back. N/A
Tosin Adarabioyo (79')
Some passes around the back but nothing else. N/A
Josh Acheampong (79')
Saw the game out on the right-hand side of defence. N/A
