Atletico Madrid right-back Nahuel Molina is ‘attracting significant interest’ from Everton as the Spanish side seek sales this summer.

Atletico keen to sell
The Spanish side need to offload at least one player, which could be Alexander Sørloth, despite Diego Simeone’s desire to keep him. The Argentine is determined to keep the striker and so, would prefer to move on other players.
The prime candidate to depart, then, is Nahuel Molina. That’s because the right-back is attracting significant interest from Roma, Everton, Napoli and Atalanta. They are all monitoring the situation around the 28-year-old closely.
Whether any of those sides have made enquiries or anything more concrete, isn’t made clear. For now, TMW insist that they’re simply monitoring the Argentine defender.
€15m valuation
Everton’s need for a right-back is well established at this point. Nathan Patterson is currently the only natural right-back in the squad. A signing in that area is essential, but Everton have indicated that they are willing to wait for the right candidate to be available.
Whether they would consider Nahuel Molina as that man, remains to be seen. At 28-years-old with experience in Spain and Italy under his belt, he would certainly be fine from an experience angle.
David Moyes would certainly value the defensive strength he would offer after four years working under Diego Simeone.
He could also be available for an acceptable figure. Transfermarkt value him at €15m currently. Given his contract expires in a year’s time, that is a fee which could be easily negotiated. Then there is Atletico’s desire to sell to keep Sørloth as well.
All three make Molina a potentially interesting candidate, if the Toffees or the other suitors decide to step forward with a serious offer.
