The Denmark international made seven appearances in their Premier League title-winning campaign and started on just one occasion.

He also featured just 20 times in all competitions amid competition with Declan Rice, Mikel Merino and Martin Zubimendi.

The deal is said to be worth £7m, and the 32-year-old will undergo a medical next week.

Norgaard will be Everton's second midfield signing of the summer after Hayden Hackney joined from Middlesbrough for £25m.

talkSPORT understands the Gunners are closing in on a deal to sign the Newcastle United captain for more than £75m.

The move will come as a huge blow to Newcastle, who have already lost Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali.
