Arsenal agree £7m Christian Norgaard sale to Everton
Arsenal have reached an agreement in principle with Everton for Christian Norgaard to leave the Emirates Stadium.
The transfer is worth around £7million, with the midfielder expected to undergo a medical next week.
David Ornstein reports that the two Premier League clubs have agreed the basis of a permanent transfer. The deal still needs to be formalised, but Norgaard is now set to move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The 32-year-old only joined Arsenal from Brentford last summer. However, opportunities proved difficult to find during the Gunners’ Premier League title-winning campaign.

Norgaard made only seven Premier League appearances last season and started once. With Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi and other midfield options ahead of him, a departure offers the Denmark international the opportunity to play more regularly.
His exit also comes as Arsenal prepare to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s midfield again. ReadArsenal reported on Thursday that Arsenal have reached a €90million agreement to sign Bruno Guimaraes.
The Newcastle captain would add another major option to Arteta’s midfield and further reduce Norgaard’s route to regular football.
According to talkSPORT, Everton have now moved to take advantage of the situation and bring the experienced midfielder to Merseyside.
The Christian Norgaard Everton transfer is not officially complete yet. However, an agreement between the clubs and plans for a medical mean his short Arsenal career is now close to ending.
