Arsenal have reached an agreement with Everton for the transfer of midfielder Christian Norgaard, with the North London club accelerating plans to complete the signing of Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes in one of the biggest Premier League deals of the summer.
The Gunners have accepted Everton’s offer for Norgaard after the Denmark international was deemed surplus to requirements following Arsenal’s midfield reshuffle. Personal terms between the player and Everton are understood to be progressing smoothly, with the Merseyside club confident of completing the move in the coming days, subject to a medical.
