Chelsea could be about to complete another impressive piece of business in the transfer market. As reported by Football Transfers, the Blues are planning to sell striker Liam Delap at a profit despite the forward enduring a disappointing first season at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea‘s transfer policy has often caused debate. The club keeps doing well when it comes to selling players. Chelsea signed Delap from Ipswich for €35.5 million in June 2025**.** Now the Blues are hoping to get between €41 million and €47 million for the striker even though he scored two goals last season.
Liam Delap’s Chelsea career has not taken off

If another club agrees to those terms, Chelsea will make a profit on the striker. The report says Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Everton are all interested in signing the 22-year-old before the transfer window closes.
Chelsea’s confidence is strengthened by Delap’s long-term contract, with five years still remaining on his deal. That gives the club a strong position during negotiations. Delap’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) remains around €37 million, close to the figure when he joined Chelsea. Although his reputation has dropped after a disappointing campaign, Chelsea believe current market conditions allow them to ask for a higher fee.
