Man Utd transfer target Mika Godts has an asking price of €60m (£51m), according to reports.
TEAMtalk claim that the Red Devils are one of several clubs who are keen on signing the Ajax winger.
Paris Saint-Germain are believed to have advanced negotiations the furthest, but Godts won’t be sold on the cheap.
It is believed that United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are keeping an eye on developments, although it remains to be seen if any of them will seriously challenge PSG for the Belgian’s signature.
What do Man Utd fans need to know about the player?
Godts came through Genk’s academy before joining Ajax for €1m at the beginning of 2023. He went on to make his first-team debut against Fortuna Sittard in April the same year.
The 21-year-old turned heads last season, having racked up 17 goals and 15 assists in 44 appearances for Ajax.
Godts is usually deployed on the left wing, and he could well be on the list of potential replacements for Marcus Rashford.
Ajax have made their stance clear on Godts
Following news of PSG’s interest, the Dutch club’s technical director Jordi Cruyff said that the forward would be let go, but only if their valuation is met:
“Ultimately, players like Godts will leave, but only at the right time and for the right price. We want to keep him in Amsterdam for at least another year. He is not for sale and otherwise very difficult to buy.”
Considering that PSG were willing to pay €100m for RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande before the move was hijacked by Real Madrid, Godts’ price tag is unlikely to deter them. With that being the case, Man United may have to move fast if they want the player.
