Leeds United will bring the curtain down on their tour of the USA this evening with a match against Liverpool at Soldier Field in Chicago.
After losing the opening match of the pre-season camp to Wrexham in the heat of Tampa, Florida, Leeds got their first win earlier this week when beating Sunderland 1-0 in New Jersey. They now move on to the Windy City for their game with Liverpool, who look like they will be fielding a strong line-up for the match.
Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Ryan Gravenberch all missed the trip to New York earlier this week when Liverpool beat Wrexham 1-0, however they are expected to feature in the game against Daniel Farke's team. New Liverpool signing Jeremy Jacquet has not trained this week and is a doubt, but Andoni Iraola looks like he will field his strongest line-up yet for the match.
Daniel Farke is also expected to go with a strong line-up for the clash, and has already hinted this week that he sees the chance to get a win against the Reds as an ideal confidence-booster to bring back to England ahead of a first home game for the new-look side against RB Leipzig next weekend.
“I expect another tough test against Liverpool, especially with the quality of players that they have,” Farke said. “These moments right now are very challenging with double sessions and going for multiple weeks but there is no replacement for that winning feeling and it would be great to have it again.”
