Liverpool finish their US preseason tour, where they will face off against fellow Premier League side, Leeds. Preseason has been going well with victories over Sunderland and Wrexham in the first two matches of the tour. The Liverpool squad has been bolstered this week by several returnees from the World Cup, with players like Florian Wirtz, Ryan Gravenberch and Alexander Isak set to feature in this match.
Liverpool firstly won [4-2 against Sunderland](https://readliverpoolfc.com/match-reviews/five-things-we-learned-from-liverpool-4-2-sunderland/) in Nashville, where lots of Liverpool’s young stars impressed, while centre-back woes multiplied with the injury to Joe Gomez early on.
Liverpool then moved on to New York, where they picked up a 1-0 win over Wrexham, where a strong performance from former Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward impressed, although Rio Ngumoha was able to make the breakthrough with a defelcted shot that found the back of the net.
