Everton among four clubs eyeing Atleti’s Nahuel Molina

Everton are among four clubs showing interest in Atletico Madrid right-back Nahuel Molina, as the Spanish side look to raise funds this summer.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Atletico’s business has been slow to get going because of their need to sell before they buy. Diego Simeone wants to keep Alexander Sørloth, leaving Molina as the more likely departure.

Roma, Napoli and Atalanta are also credited with interest, though it’s unclear whether any club has made a formal approach.

The position fits a clear need. Nathan Patterson is currently Everton’s only recognised right-back, and Moyes has indicated the club are prepared to wait for the right option rather than force a deal.

Molina, 28, has spent four years in Spain under Simeone after arriving from Udinese, adding experience in a defensively disciplined system. He also played in Serie A earlier in his career.

With a year left on his contract, Transfermarkt values him at around €15m — a fee that could fall further given Atletico’s motivation to sell.

Nothing suggests talks are advanced. For now, it’s interest from a distance, with three other clubs credited with the same idea. But it’s a name to watch given how thin Everton’s options are at right-back, and how straightforward a deal could be if it develops.
