Chelsea have branded Pedro Neto with a £70million price tag this summer, as Manchester City prepare as surprising bid.

The 26-year-old was a key part of the Blues' season in 2025/26, bagging five goals and six assists from the wing in 34 appearances.

However, it is suggested that Neto could be on the move this summer, with a potential reunion with Enzo Maresca on the cards.

The Italian has recently been unveiled as City's new head coach, having left Stamford Bridge at the turn of the year.

And having already recruited Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest in a £116m deal, it's clear that the Cityzens are not messing about with regards to bringing in top talents.

While AC Milan are also thought to hold an interest in Neto, Maresca's place at the reins of City could turn the Portuguese forward's head to the Etihad Stadium.

However, football.london understands that Chelsea are looking for around £70m to allow Neto to part ways with West London this summer.

Under contract until 2031, the Blues are in no rush to sell, and would likely need to source a replacement for a player who has been one of the first-team's most creative since his arrival in 2024.

Whether City would be willing to meet that fee, especially considering the depth that they have on their flanks in the likes of Antoine Semenyo, Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki, as well as the recent arrival of Jeremy Monga from Leicester City.

It comes as Xabi Alonso has had a busy summer in terms of welcoming new arrivals.

On top of the high-profile £118m arrival of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa and bringing in Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace in a £52m deal, Chelsea have acquired Marco Palestra, Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha, Denner and Danny Welbeck.

Dastan Satpaev is also set to sign for the club later this month upon turning 18, despite already representing the Blues in pre-season.
