Arsenal are expected to seal the signature of Blackburn Rovers striker Igor Tyjon, according to reports.
Writing on his Patreon, The Sun journalist Alan Nixon said the Gunners are “close” to an agreement, which would see the Premier League champions pay £2m plus add-ons for the teenager.

Tyjon has less than twelve months left on his contract at Ewood Park, and Blackburn are said to be happy to cash in on the forward.
The 18-year-old is expected to become part of the academy setup, despite having already made his first-team debut in the Championship.

It is believed that Mikel Arteta’s side first tabled a bid for Tyjon back in July 2025, and they made an improved offer the following month.
At the time, Blackburn were still hoping to tie down the player to a new contract, but negotiations over an extension reportedly collapsed.
Another approach for Tyjon was said to have been made at the beginning of February, but again, the proposal was knocked back. It does, however, look like a deal will go ahead with Blackburn’s asking price now having been met.
What do fans need to know about Tyjon?
The youngster is a no.9 and has Polish ancestry. He has played for both England and Poland at youth level.
Tyjon made his debut for Blackburn against Bristol City during a 3-0 win in September 2024. He has made two further appearances since then, against Sunderland in April 2025 and versus Bradford in the Carabao Cup back in August last year.
The striker has impressed playing at Under-21 level, having scored 13 times in 33 appearances, including a brace against Reading in the quarter-finals of the Premier League Cup in March.
It is expected that Tyjon will play at the same age group for Arsenal in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy this season.
