News of a Pompey move for Chelsea youngster Ryan Kavuma-McQueen this afternoon.
Pompey are in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Chelsea sensation Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, according to reports.
The Blues have already secured the signings of six players this summer, with Odin Bailey, Rocco Shein, Eoin Kenny, Marko Milovanovic, Daniel Bielica and Luke Brooke-Smith through the doors.
That number looks set to rise ahead of the new campaign, with the Stamford Bridge youngster reportedly on the radar of the football operations at PO4.
According to The Chelsea Spot, a respected Chelsea fan account who report exclusive academy updates and are followed by international transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, have claimed John Mousinho’s men are closing in on a loan agreement for Kavuma-McQueen.
The report states the 17-year-old will pen a season-long deal at Fratton Park, with a move in the advanced stages.
The versatile winger, who predominantly operates on the right, has risen through the ranks in south London and has registered a sole senior appearance, which came in a 7-0 FA Cup triumph against Port Vale last season.
The highly-rated Kavuma-McQueen, impressed in Chelsea’s youth set-up last term, netting 11 goals and collecting four assists in all competitions.
Pompey are, of course, in the market for wingers this summer, with Harvey Blair, Keshi Anderson and Franco Umeh all sidelined.
