Vini Jr.'s agency has released a damning statement regarding media reporting

The statement called on journalists to be more 'accountable' and slammed 'unprofessional and uninformed' behaviour.

However, it did not specifically mention Vini Jr.'s transfer saga.

Roc Nation's president, Michael Yormark, posted on Instagram: "Roc Nation Sports International and our entire team cannot stand idle when unprofessional and uninformed media publish fake and damaging information for attention-seeking purposes.

"This is especially unacceptable when it personally targets our clients without any foundation.

"It is disruptive, harmful and libellous. Media outlets and journalists need to hold themselves more accountable."

Roc Nation are an agency, founded by legendary music artist Jay-Z, that represents multiple sports stars across the world.

They work with many NFL players, including Saquon Barkley, as well as NBA stars like Kyrie Irving and LaMelo Ball.

As well as Vini Jr, they also represent incoming Real signing Yan Diomande, Gabriel Martinelli and Endrick among other footballers.

Vini Jr. is out of contract at Real next year, and talkSPORT understands talks are still ongoing over him signing a new deal.

Whilst that stand-off continues, the Gunners are contemplating making a move for the superstar winger.

Club-to-club talks are not yet underway though, and Jose Mourinho is understood to want to keep Vini Jr. at the Bernabeu.

The saga is sure to rumble on as the transfer window remains open and his contract talks remain ongoing.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has even been asked about the links during the Gunners' pre-season campaign.

When asked, 'When's Vini joining?', Arteta smiled in reaction.

And he later said to reporters on whether he will be bringing in some more signings this summer: "Well, we are already active trying to improve and evolve the team – that's clear.

"We expect to have movements in the next few weeks, obviously, because we want to get better like anybody else, and you can just see the transfer market and our opponents what we are doing.

"We won't sit still and we are very ambitious what we want to do."
