Leeds were a goal down after some fairly slack defending from a Liverpool corner, but had a bigger concern to monitor in the early stages.
A United set piece was cleared out to Gabriel Gudmundsson, whose shot was charged down by a Liverpool player. As the Swede rode the contact, he suffered a really nasty fall to land straight on his back.
Gudmundsson required treatment in an incident that clearly knocked the wind out of him. However, the day has got worse for Gudmundsson as his game was over after just half an hour.
A Liverpool corner saw him pull up and sit on the deck with what looks like muscular trouble, worryingly clutching the back of his leg. Safety first, hopefully.

There’s no denying that Gudmundsson has been one of Leeds’ most important players in and out of possession.
So, him pulling up with an issue is a real worry.
He’s someone we can’t afford to have missing, so any suspected injury cannot be risked, he needed to come off immediately.
However, we now have to make sure we get left-back cover as soon as possible. James Justin has been terrific as versatile backup, but he’s right-footed and always feels clunky out on the left.
Someone natural to offer what Gudmundsson does is a must now.
