The workload was massively lessened last summer after the arrival of Gyokeres, but it could once again decrease this window should Vinícius Júnior arrive at the Emirates.

“I think the Gunners are ready to pounce. If I was a betting man, I’d say he’s still more likely to stay in Spain than he is to join Arsenal, but it’s certainly one to keep an eye on.”
Despite having a year left on his deal in Madrid, the Brazilian would still cost over £100m, but Arteta’s men are prepared to make him the best-paid player in the club’s history.

Vinicius managed to complete a staggering tally of 2.8 successful dribbles per 90 in LaLiga, with such a tally higher than any registered by any senior Arsenal player last term.
It also places him in the top 3% of all attackers across Europe’s top-five leagues, which could certainly take some of the pressure off Saka to provide needed quality from wide areas.
He also managed to put the end product onto his mazy runs in LaLiga, as seen by his impressive tally of 21 combined goals and assists - with no Gunners player registering more in the Premier League.
Vinicius’ tally of 2.2 chances created per 90 further highlights his tremendous ability in forward areas - which also places him in the top 4% of players in Europe’s top-five leagues.
For many years, Saka has had to push himself to the limit to try and be Arteta’s main man, which has likely seen him burn out and lead to his recent injury struggles.
However, the potential arrival of the Madrid attacker could take some of the responsibility and create a more balanced attacking trio at the Emirates.
The prospect of the Brazilian and Saka linking up alongside Gyokeres is certainly one to get excited about - with the possibility of the Gunners retaining their title massively increasing should Vinicius arrive.
