Hull City make fresh approach for Everton’s Tim Iroegbunam
Hull City have made an approach to Everton for midfielder Tim Iroegbunam, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The Tigers are looking at either a permanent deal or a loan with an obligation to buy. Several other clubs are also interested.
Hull first showed interest in June. Reports at the time suggested Everton would be willing to sell for around £20m — more than double the £9m they paid Aston Villa for him in 2024.
That move stalled amid reported disagreement within the club over letting him leave.
Iroegbunam made just 17 Premier League starts last season, despite 29 appearances in all competitions.
David Moyes is still looking to add to his midfield options this summer, with Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney among the names linked. Any arrival there could limit Iroegbunam’s game time further.
He has one year left on his Everton contract, meaning this summer represents the club’s clearest chance to recoup a significant fee before his value is affected by the shorter deal.
Ipswich Town have also been linked with a move (as they have almost everybody), along with Bundesliga clubs Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart earlier in the window.
Everton begin their Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace. Hull, promoted via the play-offs, open theirs against Manchester United on 22 August.
