Arsenal are yet to table a formal offer for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
Bruno Guimaraes is yet to show up at Newcastle United’s pre-season training camp in Spain.
Eddie Howe - while still serving as manager - previously told reporters to expect Guimaraes to return on Friday. That date was later set at Sunday - but Guimaraes once again failed to appear.
It should be noted that Dan Burn has also not come back following his extended World Cup break. However, he went further in the tournament and is not at the centre of an £85million transfer saga.

Bruno Guimaraes not at La Manga camp
Images circulated on social media yesterday showed Guimaraes greeting Ross Wilson and Matthias Jaissle. However, these were clearly AI-generated - duping Newcastle fans online.
At the time of writing, Guimaraes has not returned to pre-season training on schedule. The Magpies remain relaxed and believe him to be arriving at the La Manga camp later today.

Newcastle are wary of who Guimaraes has potentially had in his ear throughout the saga. Insiders are treading with caution - with United still bearing the scars from Alexander Isak’s antics last year.
For now, it is the case of “wait and see” as Jaissle begins life as Newcastle manager without the captain in the building. Meanwhile, Arsenal are yet to bid for the Brazilian, but this week could see Emirates chiefs formalise their interest.
