Arsenal Women confirm double-header ahead of new WSL season

**Arsenal Women have confirmed their public pre-season schedule ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, with two friendlies taking place at Meadow Park later this month.**

Renée Slegers’ side will face Paris FC and Charlton Athletic after completing a training camp in Spain.

The first public fixture will see Arsenal host Paris FC on Sunday, 23 August, with kick-off scheduled for 1pm.

Three days later, the Gunners will return to Meadow Park to face Charlton Athletic on Wednesday, 26 August at 7pm. Before those fixtures, Slegers and her squad will travel to Spain for a training camp as preparations increase ahead of the new Women’s Super League season.

Arseblog understands that Arsenal are also likely to play a behind-closed-doors fixture during the Spain camp. A further private game could then follow on the weekend of 29 and 30 August, although neither match has been officially confirmed.

The schedule gives Slegers an important opportunity to integrate a squad which has undergone significant changes this summer. Georgia Stanway, Selina Cerci and Ona Batlle are among those who have arrived, while Beth Mead and Katie McCabe have left the club.

The Paris FC and Charlton fixtures should therefore provide supporters with their first public look at how the new-look squad is developing before competitive football returns.

Arsenal begin their WSL campaign away at Brighton on Sunday, 6 September, leaving less than two weeks between the Charlton friendly and their opening league fixture.
