Chelsea have arrived in Hong Kong for the second leg of our preseason tour, and our numbers have grown to a whopping 35 in the process with the arrivals of six more players as well.
Those new arrivals include a familiar face in Pedro Neto, plus new signings Danny Welbeck and Geovany Quenda, as well as like-new-signing Mykhailo Mudryk, newly reinstated after his nearly 2-year ban from football.
Two goalkeepers have also arrived to boost those numbers, with Mike Penders and Gaga Slonina in to help out young Teddy Sharman-Lowe as the incumbent number-one, Robert Sánchez deals with some sort of minor injury. Penders is slated to be Bob’s backup as things stand, so hope to see him get plenty of match action. (Slonina was on trial at Strasbourg but evidently failed to stick, with Filip Jörgensen heading there instead, either on loan or permanently.)
At some point we’re going to have to start cutting these numbers down to something more manageable, especially once the likes of Reece James and Enzo Fernández and Jordan Henderson arrive. Our next game is against Juventus on Wednesday.
