Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has early this week revealed his appreciation for the ongoing efforts of three young members of his squad in pre-season training.
Speaking during an appearance in front of the media on Monday, Flick was asked which breakthrough talents have impressed him most in Catalunya’s capital across the summer to date.
And the German tactician had three clear names in mind, explaining:
“Three youngsters who have surprised me the most so far? Ebrima Tunkara, Xavi Espart and Orian Goren have really impressed me during this training camp. They have tremendous quality and are proving it every day.”
For those not familiar with their respective names, Tunkara is a 16-year-old attack-minded midfielder, who has long been considered one of the standout talents on Barcelona’s books.
Xavi Espart is a versatile full-back who featured in patches at senior level last season, widely expected to play a more prominent role at the Camp Nou in 2026/27.
Goren, meanwhile, is another technically gifted midfield starlet, 17 years of age, and capable of filling several roles in the middle of the park.
