Liverpool remain keen on signing Bradley Barcola as Andoni Iraola looks to make the first marquee addition of his Anfield tenure.
The Reds have spent several months laying the groundwork for a potential move, with interest intensifying following Mohamed Salah’s departure at the end of his contract.

Iraola is targeting a winger with pace, direct running and the ability to consistently beat defenders one-on-one, and Barcola fits that profile.
The 23-year-old has impressed at PSG but faced increased competition for regular starts last season due to the club’s wealth of attacking talent under Luis Enrique.
A move to Liverpool could provide him with a more prominent role and the chance to become a key figure in the club’s next attacking era.
Liverpool explored a deal for Barcola in 2025 when PSG valued him at around €85m (£73m). However, the French club’s current asking price has risen to €170m (£145m).

However, PSG are pushing back on the structure of the bonuses, with the Parisian club preferring more achievable clauses based on factors such as the player’s individual performances.
France international Barcola only has two years remaining on his current contract and is not expected to sign a new deal with PSG.
According to European football expert Julien Laurens, the winger would be open to joining Liverpool, with the Reds hoping his contract situation could help them negotiate a deal with the French champions.
Laurens told Sky Sports News: “Barcola is the name that everybody is talking about right now. Things are pretty clear – he would be happy to join Liverpool, very much so, and I think Liverpool would love him at the club too. He’s exactly what they need right now in terms of his profile, his pace and what he can do with the ball.”
The player’s preference for a move to Anfield, combined with the lack of significant rival interest, gives Liverpool valuable leverage in negotiations.
