In a move that could start to shift the landscape for the 2026/27 Champions League season, Liverpool has reportedly engaged Paris Saint-Germain for talks over attacker Bradley Barcola per transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Barcola, a longtime transfer target of Bayern Munich, could be an immediate impact player for Liverpool:

Barcola wants Liverpool, as exclusively revealed since May.
Liverpool’s interest in Barcola underlines the club’s desire to add even more pace and creativity to its attack. The 23-year-old has developed into one of Europe’s most exciting young wingers, combining explosive dribbling with improved end product. Any move would likely require a significant transfer fee, with PSG having little incentive to sell a player who remains an important part of their long-term plans.
In addition, Liverpool is seeking weaken one of the other top clubs in Europe — the reigning, two-champions of the Champions League. PSG will likely just reload, though, as it has been linked to Ajax winger Mika Godts.
