‘Completely done’ – Reporter drops huge £80m Arsenal transfer claim
Bruno Andrade has insisted Bruno Guimaraes is already an Arsenal player, claiming the £80million package with Newcastle United has been fully agreed.
The fresh Bruno Guimaraes Arsenal update comes despite conflicting reports suggesting the Gunners have seen an offer rejected.
Arsenal have spent several weeks pushing to bring the Newcastle captain to the Emirates Stadium, with the Brazil international making it clear that he wants the move.
ReadArsenal reported earlier on Monday that Arsenal were closing in on an £80million agreement, consisting of £70m guaranteed and another £10m in add-ons.
However, reports later emerged suggesting Newcastle had turned down Arsenal’s opening official bid.

Speaking to ESPN Brasil, via Sport Witness, Bruno Andrade has strongly disputed suggestions that money remains an issue between Arsenal and Newcastle.
Andrade claims the £80m package has already been agreed and described Guimaraes as “completely done” for Arsenal.
According to the Brazilian journalist, Newcastle were unhappy that details of the agreement leaked before they were ready to announce the transfer.
He reports that the Magpies wanted to coordinate Guimaraes’ departure with the arrival of a replacement. That timetable became more difficult once news of the agreement emerged publicly.
Andrade therefore believes Newcastle are delaying the process because of the timing of the announcement rather than any disagreement over Arsenal’s offer.
His information contrasts with reporting in England that Newcastle rejected Arsenal’s opening bid and that some distance remained between the clubs.
That conflicting information means Arsenal supporters will still be waiting for official confirmation before considering the transfer complete.
However, Andrade has remained emphatic about his information. If his version proves correct, the long-running saga is now effectively over and Mikel Arteta is set to add one of the Premier League’s leading midfielders to his title-winning squad.
