Chelsea confirm highly-rated Cobham talent has left on loan
Chelsea have confirmed that highly-rated Cobham defender Genesis Antwi has joined Strasbourg on a season-long loan.
The loan gives the 19-year-old an opportunity to gain regular senior experience in Ligue 1 after progressing through the academy at Stamford Bridge.
Antwi has been with Chelsea since Under-12 level and has developed into an attacking right-back capable of playing on either flank.
The Sweden Under-21 international has already made two senior appearances for the Blues, both coming during their 2024/25 Conference League-winning campaign.

Chelsea officially confirmed on Monday that Antwi has joined Strasbourg for the entire 2026/27 campaign.
Ben Jacobs had initially reported that the Cobham graduate had completed the move before confirmation arrived from the club.
Antwi enjoyed another strong campaign at academy level last season. He helped Chelsea finish top of the Premier League 2 league phase and continued to train around the senior setup.
His long-term future also remains firmly tied to Stamford Bridge.
The defender signed a new three-year Chelsea contract during the 2025/26 season, with the agreement containing an option for a further two years.
Strasbourg should now provide Antwi with his first sustained experience of senior club football.
The Ligue 1 side already know the player well. Former Chelsea Under-21 head coach Filipe Coelho is part of the first-team coaching staff in Strasbourg after leaving Cobham last year.
A productive season in France could therefore put Antwi in a stronger position to challenge for Xabi Alonso’s Chelsea squad when he returns next summer.
